Meet the Coach
Meet Coach Sid
#2
Sidney Dering

After finishing an illustrious lacrosse and basketball career at Tualatin High school, earning many all-league and all-state titles individually, and helping her basketball team to a 4th place finish in the 6A state championships, she headed out to Northeast Ohio to start her freshman year as a golden flash. Starting 10 games and appearing in all 17, she ended the year with a MAC defensive player of the week nomination as well.
Sidney had lived in Tualatin her whole life and as a child she dreamt about the day she could step on the court or field wearing a Tualatin jersey with #12. Now pursuing her dreams at the Division I level, wearing the #2, she could not be more excited to share lacrosse with the next generation.
From a young age, Sidney has known what she believes in, and one of the topics that she has continually fought for is women's rights through equality for female athletes. When presented with the opportunity to carry out a service project, there was no doubt that it would involve growing the young female athlete community in her hometown playing the sport she loves.

The world of sports has given Sidney so many opportunities, experiences, and has taught her more lessons than she can count. She is ecstatic to be able to give back to the game that has given her so much. She would not be where she is without her parents, coaches, and teammates who she is forever thankful for.
